How to Develop a Sustainable Exercise Routine
I have always had trouble keeping an exercise routine. We know that doing that it’s a game changer for our health and well-being. It’s just a struggle to keep it consistent for some because of busy schedules, lack of motivation and not knowing where to start. I was in that same boat until I discovered Hotworx and it has completely changed my approach to my fitness journey.
This is how I developed my exercise routine and how Hotworx made it possible. PS. I am not a paid endorser but I could be. (wink wink)
The first step to a sustainable exercise routine is setting super clear obtainable goals. Whatever you want your goals to be, strength, losing weight, have specific targets that don’t take forever, and go get it. Make them obtainable so you see yourself setting and achieving goals. Trust me this is key!
Find something you actually enjoy. Is it walking, running, yoga? Whatever physical activity you enjoy doing – do it. Traditional gyms weren’t doing it for me. I was getting bored and not wanting to even go.
Health Is Wealth Y’all
I learned the hard way consistency is key to starting your new habit. Set an exercise routine schedule that fits your life on Sundays for the upcoming week. Even if you say to yourself “The only day I can work out this week is Tuesday” then make sure you get it in on Tuesday at some point!
This is where Hotworx became a game-changer for me. Their 24/7 availability means I can work out whenever I get the chance. Especially because I love the virtual class aspect. I can hit play at any time. That is the blessing and curse of eliminating the excuse of a ‘busy schedule.’ There are 8 locations in the valley. Check out the one closest to your house here.
- Flexibility with 24/7 Access
- Variety of Classes
- Motivation
- Accountability
Having variety is good for your fitness but it’s also good for not allowing you to get bored with your exercise routine. There are so many classes that they offer from yoga to HIIT and they have free weights.
If you aren’t good at holding yourself accountable then have a friend or spouse hold you accountable. I hate/love how my husband holds me accountable. It’s annoying but it works! Find the person that will be annoying for you!
My workout routine was so sporadic before I started going to Hotworx. It is just what works for me. Find what works for you and stick to it! You got this. Health is wealth y’all!
