Durango Casino & Resort quickly became a favorite in Las Vegas. Soon, the property could be getting a proposed Durango Casino expansion.

It’s the latest and greatest addition to the southwest portion of the Las Vegas valley… Durango Casino & Resort has provided thousands the opportunity to wine, dine, gamble, and enjoy a luxurious stay for nearly seven months now. And to be honest, we didn’t think it could get any better… But now, it looks like it is. A Durango Casino expansion is officially in the works, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Durango Casino Expansion To Bring Even More Excitement To Southwest Valley

The Durango Casino expansion is officially in the works. At a meeting held on Wednesday, June 25th, an agenda item was filed to the Clark County Zoning Commission for new expansions to be added to the popular casino and resort property.

According to News 3, Station Casinos “wants to build a new parking garage and casino area.” What does this mean exactly? And how extensive and massive will the Durango Casino expansion be?

More Parking And More Playing

Those who frequently visit the Durango Casino property know good and well where the southeast portion of the parking lot sits. Soon enough, there should be a 2,500 parking space-filled garage there to provide even more parking options for visitors. They even plan to have valet pick-up and drop-off located on the ground level of the brand new parking garage.

As for the casino expansion, it is said to be located northwest of the new parking structure. What exactly will it feature? What will it NOT feature. A new space for a restaurant, an outdoor patio area, and a water feature wall are all proposed, and I, for one, hope they deliver. You can never have too many places to dine, chill, or take in beautiful décor.

Executives are apparently planning the Durango Casino expansion to initiate by the end of the year or the beginning of 2025. Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later!

Durango Casino and Resort is Vegas’ newest local destination. The Stations Casino is located directly across the 215 from IKEA sitting in front of the recently renovated work space, UnCommons. The casino is officially hosting their grandiose grand opening today, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Like any Vegas casino opening, Stations has plans for a ribbon cutting planned at 9 a.m. followed by a breath-taking firework show at night around 9 p.m.
