The Rome Pines Senior Apartments are located at 140 E. Rome Blvd in North Las Vegas, near Rome Boulevard and 5th Street. According to News 3, "Housing advocates say Nevada ranks the worst in terms of affordable housing. The state is short 84,000 units." With the community desperately needing affordable housing options, this North Las Vegas senior housing complex is an answered prayer.

Nevada's largest affordable housing developer, Nevada Hand, is to thank for the project, as this new complex is one of 36 affordable housing developments built by the nonprofit.

According to Census.gov, around 274,133 residents live in North Las Vegas as of July 1, 2021 compared to the 216,961 from 2010. Shopping centers like The Deer Springs Town Center, The Decatur 215 shopping center and the North Mesa Plaza have provided North Vegans the ability to shop, dine and hang out. Furthermore, these new developments and store fronts update our neighborhoods by providing culture and community.

The city of North Las Vegas are using their voices to make changes happen. They just voted in last November, a new mayor, Tempore Pamela Goynes-Brown. She is the first black mayor for the city. We are excited to see someone who is for the people make the town thrive to it's full potential.
