Letter To My Sister
National sister day is a great day to let your sister know how much she means to you. Life happens and we don’t express our feelings to our loved ones enough. I thought I would write a letter to my sister for National Sister Day this year.
A heartfelt letter for National Sister Day:
Dear Sister,
Happy National Sister Day!
I wanted to take this time to tell you how lucky I am to have you as my sister. I know I am older, but you have always been the more mature one and never let me get too high in the highs but never too low in the lows. You keep me grounded through life’s ups and downs. You are my best friend, my confidante, and my ride or die, and for that I thank you.
From when we were little girls playing with our Barbies (core memories) and having late-night talks, you have always been there for me in ways that even I can’t put into words. You support me (even when you don’t agree), you understand me, and you love me for me. I will hold on to these moments we shared in the past and moments we will share in the future forever.
When we were growing up fighting about clothes and bathroom time, who would have thought the bond we would share today? It’s your strength, and compassion that I love the most! There have been so many times you picked me up and believed in me even when I don’t necessarily believe in myself. For that, I will always be thankful.
Thank you for being you, for being my sister. I can’t imagine my life without you by my side. Let’s continue to create amazing memories together, now with all of our boys, and support each other through everything and anything that comes our way even through parenthood.
Love you,
Me
It doesn’t have to be online. Maybe a text, or an actual letter. But life is short. Let your family and friends know what they mean to you. Like Shawn did for his boys in this letter. You won’t regret it and it will put a smile on their face.
