End Of An Era: Final Adele Las Vegas Show
It was an incredibly bad launch followed by an even more incredible reign. The final Adele Las Vegas show as part of her residency at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace took place Saturday night. The event marked a triumphant and beautiful end to the historic run of shows.
Final Adele Las Vegas Show Was Emotional
Towards the end of her final show on Saturday, Adele gushed about her son and the reason for doing a Las Vegas residency.
“I chose to do a residency, maybe because I f***ing hate touring,” Adele quipped. “But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. And I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously he can’t always come.”
She went on to love on her fiancé Rich Paul and getting closure with Celine Dion recently visiting her Las Vegas show. The audience absolutely eating up every single tear she shed, proving her candidness and raw emotion is, as much as her powerful voice, a part of her appeal.
Rocky Start For Adele’s Las Vegas Residency
“Weekends With Adele” started with more of a wounded gait than you’d expect. Just one day before the residency was set to start, with fans flying in from far and wide to see the show, the launch of the show was scrubbed. It was blamed on a multitude of reasons, from a COVID outbreak among the crew to the production itself not being ready for primetime.
Adele tried to make it right by Facetiming fans who were left in her gift shop bewildered by the massive pile of money they blew on a special trip to see her perform, only to not. So to say that her Las Vegas residency had a lot of pressure on it when it finally did premiere 10 months later.
Adele absolutely brought the house down with her opening night and from there the last second cancellation was nothing but a distant memory. So many newsworthy moments came from the show over its two year run.
While this may have been the final Adele Las Vegas show, there is no question the room is hers again if she wants it.
