Raiders Star Maxx Crosby And Papa John’s Join Forces
It has been a hell of a season for the Las Vegas Raiders – in a bad way. A seven game losing streak, their starting quarterback is out for the year, and we are approaching a Friday game against the buzzsaw that is the Kansas City Chiefs. While the Raiders can’t buy a win, you can buy pizza and Maxx Crosby and Papa John’s are hoping that you do.
The new deal between the local franchisee and the Las Vegas Raiders star was just announced, and it will feed both you, and Maxx Crosby’s non-profit organization.
Maxx Crosby And Papa John’s Giving Back
So what’s the deal? Well, the deal will be changing from time to time. But right now, local Papa John’s locations are offering up the “Maxximize Your Pizza” special that will sling at least two extra large pizzas with two toppings (we prefer pepperoni and mushroom) for $14.98 each. When you get the special, a portion of that sale goes to the Maxx Crosby Foundation.
The Maxx Crosby Foundation is involved with teen substance abuse intervention, animal abuse and other things important to Maxx Crosby. He and his wife Rachel will see money enter their non-profit’s war chest to be able to do more good in the community.
Not The Only Sports Celebrity Tied In With Papa John’s
While Maxx Crosby and Papa John’s are linked via an endorsement and donations to his non-profit, there are several sports stars that have linked up with the pizza brand over the years. The most notable of which is Shaquille O’Neal.
Shaq, aka Diesel, aka Big Shamrock, aka The Big Aristotle is actually an investor in nine Papa John’s locations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Heck, he was a part of their board of directors until earlier this year when he stepped down due to too many commitments. Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning also owned several Papa John’s franchises until recently.
