This Friday, our UNLV Rebs are facing Boise in what is sure to be another electrifying matchup. The whole city is so excited, and whether you’re a die-hard Rebels fan or just in it for the atmosphere, there’s no better place to cheer on our team than at some of the best bars in town! It’s Vegas after all a new sports town with the best game-day vibes to incredible food and drinks! Here are the top spots to catch all the action and have a blast doing it!

Blondies Sports Bar & Grill

I have never had a bad time at Blondies and the wings are BOMB! It’s located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, Blondies is for sure a classic choice for sports fans. I have watched plenty of NFL games there I am sure they will come strong with the hometown team, UNLV! With over 60 TVs, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The fun lively atmosphere makes it a go-to spot for catching every play and celebrating touchdowns and big plays with fellow UNLV Rebs fans. Blondies always has great game day deals on beer buckets and wings to keep your energy up for a hopeful HUGE UNLV win! I suggest arriving early to get a table, this place fills up fast during big games. 

The Front Yard at Ellis Island

For those who love a mix of outdoor vibes (it is going to be beautiful in Vegas on Friday) and an electric sports crowd, The Front Yard is a must-visit if you haven’t been yet. It’s a two-story beer garden and has huge screens,  craft brews, and a menu filled with mouthwatering comfort food. It is the holiday don’t worry about the calories. It can be casual but also have an energetic setting. Makes it the perfect spot to bring a group of friends and soak in the game day excitement. Don’t miss their signature beer flights – my personal favorite. 

Beer Park

This is in Paris Las Vegas, Beer Park has beautiful views of the Strip and an unbeatable sports-watching experience. With over 100 beer options and a rooftop setting it’s so much fun every time. Multiple big-screen TVs, so you won’t miss a single play! I suggest their loaded fries and beer-infused bratwursts those two are my favorites every single time.

Other Fan-Favorite Bars to Consider for locals and tourists. 

  • PT’s Taverns: Pt’s has locations all over the valley, making it convenient for anyone to pop in. It will most likely be a more laid-back vibe. 
  • Circa’s Sportsbook: For a next-level viewing experience, Circa has you covered. Their massive sportsbook is so big it’s even hard to put into words.

Score Big With These 5 Tasty Game Day Appetizers

What an exciting time for football. And with the Super Bowl around the corner, you might as well make sure you have your appetizers and snacks in order. Whether you’re excited about the game, the insane commercials, or the halftime show, it’s certain that most people will be chowing down on apps.

Last year, a study found that appetizers make up most people’s diets on gameday. Interestingly, 70% of people skip the entrée and stick to appetizers on Super Bowl Sunday. This study also found that 41% say they tend to overeat.

Another study found that more than half of people look forward to game day parties because of the food. Also, highlighted is that 74% of people plan to make food at home. Meanwhile, 26% plan to order from restaurants. Either way, there will be food.

Game Day Crowd-Pleasers

Taste of Home compiled a list of what they consider to be the best of the best when it comes to apps. Their top five include an antipasto platter with meat and cheese cubes, pepper jelly hogs in a blanket, beef Wellington fried wontons, fruit charcuterie board, and ham and Swiss sliders.

There’s something for everyone from last-minute party throwers to ambitious hosts. If you’re looking for something quick chips and dip is a go. If you’re looking for something with a bit of pizazz, maybe try a quesadilla ring.

This year’s Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, Feb. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST. Whether you’re tuning in for the game, watching for the commercials, or just want to see Usher’s halftime show, make sure you have your snacks ready to go.
