Ever since Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil launched at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the show has been wowing audiences. For over 4500 shows, there’s been more moonwalking, magical leaning and acrobatics than you can shamone at.
But just like The Beatles LOVE, Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil finds itself at a crossroads. How do you keep a show fresh after being open for 11 years? Well, you throw a bunch of bells, whistles and tech at it! That’s what you do!
Michael Jackson ONE By Cirque du Soleil Freshens Up The Show
So what is new about the show? Lets start with the low-tech. The costumes are getting a glow up. A fresher looking show deserves from fresher looking threads.
Beyond the clothing, the new tech they are throwing at the show sounds unbelievable.
Choreographed drones are the biggest one that make our eyes wide. If you’ve seen the flying drone shows that have appeared throughout the Las Vegas Strip, you know they are absolutely incredible. So doing that as part of the show is next level and we can’t wait to see for ourselves.
Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil is also bringing their big screen panels beyond the stage to fully envelop the audience, making them feel closer to the action. (If you’ve seen the show, you know the further away you are, the more “away” from the show you’ll feel. More than most over Cirque shows. So this is a big deal).
We are still big sad about the end of The Beatles LOVE but this is another artist-based show that we need to protect at all costs.
Catch the show Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. It is definitely a favorite, given its longevity. And the soundtrack, as you can imagine, slaps.
