Alleged Reba The Bulldog Killer Denied Bail
It was a story that caused anger throughout the Las Vegas valley. The outright attempted (and eventual) murder of a dog that was shoved in a plastic tote that was taped shut on an incredibly hot summer day. Well, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say they have their alleged Reba the bulldog killer and another as well, and today they were hauled into court.
32 year old Issac Laushall Jr and 30 year old Markeisha Foster were present in a Las Vegas court earlier today. Laushall, the alleged Reba the bulldog killer, was denied bail during the hearing and is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. Foster is also being held at Clark County Detention Center, as she has yet to post her $50,000 bail.
Both are being charged with willful, malicious, torture, maiming and/or killing of a dog, cat or animal. No word as to whether Laushall will see a bail granted to him at a future date.
How Metro Says Reba The Bulldog Killer Did It
On July 26th, a black plastic tote with a red cover was discovered inside a dumpster behind the Vons grocery store on East Twain Avenue. Temperatures on that day were flirting with the 110s. Terrible weather for any pet, but one that is trapped in a locked and unventilated tote? Forget about it.
The dog was found and rushed to a local animal hospital who tried to render aide to the suffering dog. Naming the dog “Reba,” they did what they could for the pup but the heat stroke the dog suffered was too much. She died on July 28th.
Animal lovers throughout the valley rallied to find the Reba the bulldog killer. Tens of thousands of dollars were offered up for rewards to get a lead that would get an arrest in the case. It inevitably took five months to eventually find the pair involved.
The Las Vegas valley is filled with some absolute animal lovers who put it all on the line for their four legged friends. Sadly it is also rife with the worst of the worst who continue to put the valley in a terrible light. Here’s hoping there is indeed justice in the case.
