Holsteins Shakes & Buns To Return In Downtown Las Vegas
Hold up! When Holsteins Shakes & Buns announced they were closing at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, fans of the casual eatery were bummed. But just like a phoenix, the high-brow burger and ice cream joint is returning and Downtown is about to get even further of a culinary glow up.
By Spring 2025, the recently shuttered Holsteins will be resurrected in the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas, according to Gen3 Hospitality that owns the brand. The location, next to the Velveteen Rabbit on South Main Street, will be bringing back everything you loved about the original location at The Cosmo.
Holsteins Shakes & Buns brought the fun with a lively interior, fun menus and Instagram worthy shakes. Plus the prices weren’t that bad (for the Las Vegas Strip)! So it is good to see it getting a second chance, in a part of town that the Gen3 Hospitality founder Billy Richardson tells News 3 that he and his family have restaurant ties to.
Why Did Holsteins Shakes & Buns Close In The First Place?
If you look at the Google reviews for the original location at The Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas, you’ll see the reviews were actually really solid. Over 1900 reviews with 4.4 stars is no slouch. So why would it close in the first place?
When it was announced it would close in July of 2024, people were surprised. It had been a part of the property since it opened in 2010. And while we are only guessing, that might have been the reason.
On the Las Vegas Strip, the next big concept is always right around the corner. There is a lot of competition for the burger dollar around the area and after 14 years, the visitors had taken their snaps with their shakes. Gen3 is creating a new concept to go in the same location.
That said, we are glad we get to order a ridiculously sweet Holsteins shake again pretty soon.
