Las Vegas TED Talks Happening This Spring
“Welcome to my Ted Talk”. Many of us have made the joke, but sadly Las Vegas has never hosted its own TEDx. That is, until now. Las Vegas TED Talks are coming by way of an independently organized TEDxLasVegas.
On April 5th at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center at the Lou Ruvo Center For Brain Health at Symphony Park, selected speakers and performers will have a chance to have the floor and command the room. The event is being organized by several people, including locals Cassie Snow and Lauren Louzau.
Las Vegas TED Talks Theme Is Wide Ranging
The theme of the first ever TEDxLasVegas is “At The Crossroads,’ which the organizers tell the Las Vegas Review Journal will span a bunch of different topics and how Las Vegas plays a role in those industries and topics. From entertainment to sports, the arts to sports.
If you’ve ever seen a TEDx talk, you know how powerful they can be. This speech from 1 October survivor Todd Blyleven is proof of that.
The speeches are bound to make you laugh, make you cry, and make you think. People who are leaders in their industry or just incredibly great public speakers are sure to make you take heed and listen carefully to their story and life experience.
How To Take The Stage At TEDxLasVegas
If you think you have what it takes to speak at or perform for the inaugural Las Vegas TED Talks, you can apply on the TEDxLasVegas website. You have until January 7th to get your application in. Make sure to have a solid 10-15 minute monologue with a compelling story ready to go, and you may get the chance to have the stage for an incredible event.
It goes from 11am to 7pm on April 5th, so there are sure to be several speakers throughout the day.
