Baby's Bounty, a Nevada-based nonprofit that provides support to families with infants, is set to broaden its free diaper giveaways throughout Nevada in 2025, according to News 4.
Kim Amato started the Southern Nevada program in 2008, and what began as a small effort has now spread to Northern Nevada and rural areas across the state.
Using drive-throughs and mobile stations, Baby's Bounty will hand out diapers and wipes to families in need. They've given out nearly five million diapers and 10 million wipes to 45,000 Nevada families since 2020. Families can pick up a week's worth of diapers and wipes for up to three kids per visit. Parents who want to participate need to preregister a week before through the Baby's Bounty website.
The first giveaway of 2025 kicks off at Henderson's Morell Park on Jan. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. UnitedHealthcare Health Plan of Nevada Medicaid will be helping with the giveaway.
More locations will pop up across Las Vegas, Reno/Sparks, and Mesquite throughout January:
- The North Las Vegas diaper giveaway moves to 2420 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. on Jan. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m.
- The Las Vegas diaper and wipes giveaway happens Jan. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Baby's Bounty Center for Families.
- The Reno/Sparks Baby's Bounty diaper bank takes place on Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at 1410 Greg Street.
- The Mesquite mobile diaper bank will be at the local Salvation Army on Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon.
To get diaper supplies, families need to bring a photo ID and proof they're parents or guardians, like birth certificates, Medicaid cards, or foster care or adoption paperwork.
While keeping regular giveaway spots in four main cities, mobile units also provide help to families in rural Clark County. Baby's Bounty supports parents through other special programs like "Baby Bundle" and "Diapers for Diplomas."
