South Park Creators Bought The Real Casa Bonita
If you’re not a South Park fan, you should probably just move along from this post. If you are, you’ve got to love this.
Remember the Casa Bonita episode? Well, it’s a real place. (If you’ve got family in Denver – yours truly does – you’ve probably been there. And yeah, been there, done Black Bart’s Cave.) Oh, and the owners went bankrupt a few months ago.
Enter Matt Stone and Trey Parker – the weirdos who made South park – fresh off a $935 million contract to keep making South Park movies and stuff. (And, yeah, we love doing this whole radio thing, but we saw that number and decided that we totally went into the wrong line of “work.”)
They’ve bought Casa Bonita. The quote: “We bought it. It just feels natural.”
Y’think?
We love it, and we’re guessing that you do too.
And now some fun stuff to finish this mess up, starting with Cartman’s trip to Casa Bonita (assuming you don’t mind a few NSFW words).

Have you ever wondered what the joint looks like inside? Here’s a way-too-long peek with one note: when yours truly was there, the gorilla costume had a bunch of stuffing coming out of a hole in the Naugahyde “abs,” which was heelarious.
We always like to wrap up with some pictures that we think will amuse you, and since we don’t have a Casa Bonita collection to share, we decided to go with some of our favorite weird mask photos of the last 18 months.
