Bright lights and festive holiday magic filled the air with Boulder City's 54 Annual Santa's Electrical Night Parade! Over 90 businesses participated with picture-perfect floats and joyful spirits.

With a population of just under 15,000, most of the town showed up wearing their holiday sweaters in support to make it a jovial occasion. A sea of lounge chairs filled the sidewalks of Boulder's historic Nevada Way. Corner bars and local businesses set up shop with open doors to greet the massive parade. Each business was delicately decorated with garland, windows signs and Christmas lights appearing almost out of a Hallmark movie. Unique merchandise and freshly baked goods were up for sale for the special night. Hot chocolate golf carts drove up and down the length of the parade route selling the warm chocolaty goodness for $1.

The parade took place on December 3 for a night to remember until next Christmas. Floats launched at 4:30 p.m. off of Colorado St. and made their way spreading cheer through the adorable town.

Aimee Thomas and Sammi Reeves hosted the event announcing all of the local businesses and their missions to make the world a better place. The Boulder City Fire Department opened the extravaganza with big red trucks and waving hands. Other memorable floats include: Miss Nevada America Pageant, FOX Smokehouse BBQ and Boating Lake Mead. Christmas music filled the air causing singing and dancing amongst the parade attendees. The last float was most memorable as Jolly Kris Kringle and Ms. Claus ended the night in a giant sleigh. For small town vibes, the parade was big time flashy.

We had a terrific time and can't wait to return for the Boulder City Best Dam Wine Walk with Aimee's W.I.N.O.S. (Women In Need Of Sanity). Shawn will be hanging with the husbands drinking beer and watching sports for D.I.N.O.S. (Dudes IN Need Of Sports).
