It’s National Donut Day! A whole day dedicated to indulging in our favorite sweet treat. I don’t say breakfast treat because it’s never a bad time to eat a donut. Since donuts are loved by almost everyone, it’s time to get your taste buds ready for a sugar rush today when celebrating.
When you hear the word “donut,” what one comes to mind first? Krispy Kreme glazed comes to mine! It probably comes to your mind first too. The Krispy Kreme glazed donut is a worldwide phenomenon for its delicious taste and freshly prepared dough. The donut is simple yet perfect with its fluffy texture and sweet glazed coating. Microwave for 10 seconds and eat an entire dozen.
Are you more of a chocolate-frosted person? The donut that is entirely covered with chocolate frosting, bringing you pure chocolate delight in every bite (that rhymes). Just one bite of the chocolate frosted donut can give you pure satisfaction.
Another favorite of donut lovers is a jelly-filled donut. This donut isn’t really one for me, I feel like it’s too messy. But this is definitely a lot of people’s favorite.

For those who like fancy donuts… the Maple-Bacon Donut is for you. You are the savory and sweet type which means this donut which crispy bacon maple icing is chef’s kiss for you! If I’m being honest I have never had one. I love bacon and I love donuts but I don’t know if I would like them together.
