Ah, October. The leaves are changing colors. The air is crisp and cool. Pumpkin spice is everywhere you look. And best of all, it’s National Pasta Month!
Whether you’re a fan of tender spaghetti, chewy fettuccine, or hearty ravioli, there’s a pasta dish out there with your name on it. Or maybe you’re like me, and every pasta dish has your name on it. Even as a kid, I was never a picky eater whatsoever (my mother hit the jackpot). That said, to this day, I’ve never come face-to-face with a pasta I didn’t like. I take that back. I’ve never come face-to-face with a pasta I didn’t LOVE. Overall, it’s totally a comfort food of mine. It’s hard not to love all things carb-y and delicious, and pasta has certainly earned the top spot in my book for the best carb-loaded creation to ever grace this planet. YUM.
According to National Today, pasta has been enjoyed for centuries upon centuries, dating as far back as 5000 BC. Apparently, the Chinese were the first civilization to eat pasta. And here we are, in the 21st century, enjoying similar dishes all of these years later. Heck. Even our pets are enjoying it! Pasta is actually safe for your dog or cat to consume, so long as it is in small amounts and your pet isn’t allergic to wheat. Make sure your per isn’t allergic to wheat… Big yikes.
National Pasta Month deserves massive celebration. And what better place to enjoy a good plate of noodles than Sin City? Las Vegas is home to countless restaurants offering exquisite cuisine, and the pasta situation here, in my opinion, reigns supreme. With so many delicious options to choose from, where will you celebrate National Pasta Month? Bon Appetit!
