It’s time for rom-coms to shine again. As this list of the best romantic comedies ever proves, the death of the genre is just not true. Yes, rom-coms have lost in popularity since their 1990s heyday—but even as time passes, audiences are hungry as ever for banter, meet-cutes, and happy endings.

Which got me thinking: what are the best romantic comedies of all time?

The Princess Bride (1987) is one of my favorite rom-coms of all time! It may not be your typical love story, but The Princess Bride is a classic that is as much about true love as it is about adventure and swordplay. Though it was a box office disappointment in its day, The Princess Bride has gone on to become a cult classic—proof that when it comes to timelessness, nothing beats true love! "As you wishhh!" Notting Hill (1999) The pairing of Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant made Notting Hill one of the most beloved romantic comedies ever made. When you think 90s Rom-Coms you think of Julia Roberts! Its mix of humor and heart will make you laugh out loud while reminding you why we all need a little bit of love!

When Harry Met Sally (1989) Another classic starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan has become a benchmark for modern love stories. When Harry Met Sally follows two New Yorkers who don't believe in love at first sight... until they realize they've been wrong all along! With its iconic scenes—like the famous Katz’s Deli scene (once again, if you know you know) and its endearing characters, this movie has earned its place among the greatest romantic comedies ever made.

Romance may come in many forms but there’s nothing quite like the kind we find between two people on screen in some of Hollywood’s best romantic comedies. Whether it’s adventure or comedy or just plain old swooning over one another – there's something special about witnessing true love unfold before our eyes on-screen.

From classics like The Princess Bride to modern favorites like When Harry Met Sally narrowing it down to my top 10 was hard but I gave it a whirl.
