Geoffrey Owens ‘Cosby Show’ Actor Makes EPIC Return To Hollywood
The Screen Actors Guild Awards happened last night and the BIGGEST bombshell was Geoffrey Owens’ cameo.
Owens first made his national appearance as Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show. Since then, Owens has had a tough time landing steady acting gigs.

“Instead of switching careers like a sane person, I took a job at a local Trader Joe’s to see if I could hang in there with my career. It’s actually worked out pretty well,” said Owens. Then given a standing ovation from Hollywood’s biggest actors.
Owens went viral last year when pictures surfaced of him working clerk-side at Trader Joe’s. Doing whatever it takes to support him and his family. Giving any type of work the dignity it deserves.
Since then, Owens said that the ‘job-shaming’ narrative totally backfired!

The initial buzz around Owens was enough for opportunities to arrive. Tyler Perry offered Owens a 10-episode appearance on the hit TV show The Haves and the Have Nots, according to TMZ.
Yesterday’s SAG Awards cameo wouldn’t fall short from success. “Just the fact that my face is out there again it’s already lead to opportunities,” said Owens in a TMZ interview.
As Owens confidently puts it “I’m Geoffrey Owens and I am an actor.”
