Kourtney Kardashian is opening up about her difficult journey to get pregnant with her 6-month-old son Rocky. Kardashian, 45, who shares Rocky with her husband, Travis Barker, shared encouraging words on Monday (May 27) with an Instagram follower who detailed their struggles with IVF.

As we've reported, Kardashian had many complications with IVF. With the medication she was taking while her treatments were ongoing, Kourtney said it put her into menopause, and it was working as a contraceptive. Kourtney further described that the medication made her feel “super moody and hormonal. Like, I’m a lunatic half the time.”

5 Failed IVF Cycles and 3 Egg Retrievals Before Conceiving Rocky

When Kourt asked her 223 million Instagram followers to "Ask me a question," one fan wrote: “Had 6 failed IVFs – how did u find the strength to keep going? It's debilitating.” In response, the Poosh founder said via an Instagram Story that she stopped the treatments after a year of five “failed IVF cycles” and three egg retrievals before having son Rocky the natural way.

The Kardashians star added that her body was finally able to relax after stopping IVF, and her faith in God helped guide her to accept whatever was meant for the newlyweds. She told her fans watching the Story: "I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!"

In a following Instagram Story, the eldest Kardashian sister wanted to be "super clear" about any confusion that she conceived Rocky through IVF. While showing a photo of herself pregnant with Rocky, she wrote: "I got pregnant 100% naturally, NOT through IVF… one year after stopping IVF actually. Through God’s blessing, on Valentine’s Day. [red heart emoji]"

Kourtney's Advice To Fellow Moms

As a four-time mother, Kourtney shared lots of advice since the birth of her and Travis' first child together. In late December, she shared her "postpartum glam hack."

“When not much in the closet fits yet and the boobs are filled with milk, throw on a cozy coat,” Kourtney captioned photos of herself in a black bodysuit and floor-length fur coat, showing off her legs in a pair of black tights. She completed her look with sparkling, strappy heels, a slick high ponytail with very long hair, and stacked necklaces. Kourt’s younger sister, Khloé Kardashian, complimented her sexy style, writing: “When you’re a baddie no matter what.”

Since Kourtney mentioned "optimizing" her health during her Monday IG Stories Q&A with fans, she has previously shared what the "optimal breast milk supply snacks" are. She shared a plated of walnuts, dried mulberries, and hot coconut milk.
