How does a pool party, cold margaritas and a Cirque du Soleil show sound? Well, this was Day Two of the official Life is Beautiful Pool Party.
Aimee+Shawn and Sammi Reeves hosted an epic day party filled with intense and ridiculous Google Predicts answers, our buddies at High Noon gave us a plethora of buckets to give away and we had a splendid performance from Mad Apple.
Mad Apple is Cirque du Soleil’s newest show, and according to the website, “Mad Apple is a delightful Cirque du Soleil concoction of New York-inspired acrobatics, music, dance, magic, and comedy.”
The show gave us a taste f what to expect, and it was a perfect mixture of the eclectic energy of the circus with the sophisticated touch of a New York City Broadway production. It was marvelous.
The talent who performed wowed the crowd with acts of mind-bending juggling with a sprinkle of banter and poking fun at the tipsy audience.
After the performance, Aimee, Shawn and Sammi played a few rounds of Google Predicts with the audience, who said some pretty hilarious answers. The ridiculous answers could partly be blamed by baking in the sun and — of course — alcohol. The winner of each round received a bucket of cold High Noons!
It was such a fun time. People would get stuck while trying to answer the question. Plus, since we weren’t on the air, the game was a slightly “dirtier” version than what you’re used to. People would scream answers, which made the scene even more chaotic. It was all in good fun, and set the positive mood that’s perfect before any festival.
Chef D was the DJ of the day, and he provided the epitome of perfect vibes and dance music that had people moving and grooving in the pool. People still showed up and partied hard despite being at the festival until dawn that day.
