Who said tattoos aren’t as good as therapy? Oh yeah, no one!

If you listened to me while I was filling in for Aimee on Aimee+Shawn, you might remember my slightly wild tattoo story. Long story short, I bought razor blades at a gas station to use for a tattoo I received in a fire station parking lot. I thought that would be the moment I disappointed my parents forever. But we called my mom on air and she not only liked it, she wanted a matching one!

The day finally came this past weekend. My mom and sister flew into town this past weekend and we all set out for an exciting tattoo adventure. They not only got matching suns on their middle fingers, but we each got a small moon as well. We love them so much, but it has me thinking: when can I get another? And if I do, what should it be?

Many people like the idea of having a tattoo. Modern Gentleman reports that 40% of 18-34-year-olds have one tattoo or more. While there is nothing wrong with showing off a sweet tat, some prefer a tattoo that can be easily covered or concealed. This has made simple, minimalistic tattoos very popular right now. I’m no exception, and the simple design of my sun and moon has only made me want more tiny tats. Choosing what design you want isn’t always easy, though. Some might want their tattoos to have a deep, personal meaning, while others might just want one because they love the way it looks. Both of these are great reasons, and luckily, we have the internet to look to for endless inspiration.
