Kelly Clarkson Had Emergency Surgery After Hosting Billboard Awards

Kelly Clarkson powered through hosting the Billboard Music Awards Wednesday despite being in immense pain.

The singer revealed that she needed to be rushed to the hospital immediately after the show to have her appendix removed.

Clarkson had reportedly been suffering from abdominal pain all week, but things really came to a head after the show, which included two performances from the singer.

“Not gonna lie…. I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now!” she wrote, adding #byebyeappendix.

Still, she didn't show any signs of her condition affecting her in any way as she rocked it on stage, never missing a beat. She later thanked her team for a successful show.

Clarkson appears to be feeling much better now, although clearly a little pain doesn't slow her down.
