Later, Swift sings “My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue/All’s well that ends well to end up with you.” It’s a line she previewed on Instagram that got fans wondering if Swift is engaged to boyfriend Joe Alwyn since it’s a reference to the old wedding adage “something borrowed, something blue.”
She said their was a lot of Easter eggs in the “Me!” music video & in it Brendon Urie kneels down twice in a “will you marry me?” pose. On Lover, it sounds like a wedding vow. Either she’s engaged or secretly married. IM HERE FOR IT😭 she’s FINALLY HAPPY! @taylorswift13 #lover

E! noted that the title track clocks in at 3:41, which if you flip it is 143, which is text slang for “I love you.” Clearly, this is a love letter to Alwyn, but is it her engagement announcement? Unfortunately, probably not.
But, that won’t stop fans from trying to figure out this mystery when Swift’s new album, Lover, drops on Aug. 23.
