The 2019 Video Music Awards featured performances from some of the biggest stars in music. Many of whom played their new singles live for the first time, like Taylor Swift, whose "Lover" turned into a sing-along.
Miley Cyrus performed her breakup song "Slide Away," which marked her first live appearance since her breakup with Liam Hemsworth. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello got steamy (kind of) while performing "Señorita." Not to mention, Missy Elliott gave the crowd a medley that proved why she deserved the Video Vanguard Award.
