Released in 2015, “Hotline Bling” was the lead single on Drake’s 2016 album “Views.” The track reached number two on Billboard’s Hot 100. “Hot Line Bling” also garnered two Grammy Awards and one American Music Award.

On the first song on Scary Hours 2, "What's Next", Drake addresses the constant questioning about his time away from the limelight: "They wanna know how I'm livin' my day to day life in the regular season. Well summer, all I did was rest, okay? And New Year's, all I did was stretch, okay?"

"Wants and Needs" features Lil Baby, and Drake has a message to the public's opinions, saying "leave me out the comments, leave me out the nonsense."

Finally, on "Lemon Pepper Freestyle," featuring Rick Ross, a notable lyric in the nearly six-and-a-half-minute long song: "These days fame is disconnected from excellence."
