Thanksgiving is always so much fun at our house. It’s a relaxing day with football, family, and food! (We aren’t going to talk about the Giants loss)
This year for the first time in a long time we had someone, who wasn’t immediate family, join us for dinner. It was our friend Justin, who was in the military with my husband, they have been friends for 20-plus years and he just moved to Vegas this summer. While we were setting the table, my sister saw a Tik Tok of a family who pranked a girl who was spending Thanksgiving dinner at her boyfriend’s family’s house for the first time. before they ate they stood up and did the pledge of allegiance and then spun around in a circle to see what she would do. She did it.
Now, I want to make this clear, we are not a prank family. Not for any reason other than I don’t think any of us know how actually to pull them off correctly to get that funny payoff.
There were 11 of us at dinner so we had to get everyone on board to make it work. Also, him being in the military we knew he would stand right up and do it which makes it even funnier. The spin is what did us all in. You have to check out the video. I watched it and laughed until I cried 48 hours later, even.
I honestly want to invite someone new into our home for Thanksgiving every year and do something different because it was hysterical. I encourage you to do something like that this holiday season!
Do you and your family do pranks? We may just start making this a thing.
