Positive thoughts fuel a positive mind, and a positive mindset is so important. That’s why “Positive Thinking Day” was born in 2003 and has been celebrated ever since! According to National Today, it all began when “an American entrepreneur came up with the idea of dedicating a day to positivity and positive thinking. The only goal of the day is to have a positive attitude at all times.”
It’s so easy for life to bog us down. Situations and circumstances often sit at the forefront of our minds, and we ultimately end up feeling so down and overwhelmed. It’s sometimes easy to forget that we need to prioritize our brains and keep that place as healthy and happy as possible. I know I certainly struggle with that at times, but it’s important for us to remember that ultimately, we’re human. We’re not perfect. It’s natural for us to feel the ups and downs of life, but it’s the thoughts we feed into our brains as we endure those ups and downs that greatly affect our mental well being.
On those difficult days and in the moments where there seems to be no positives, try to catch your thoughts when you feel yourself starting to slip into a negative slump. Work to find positives within the circumstances and try to focus your energy on those. It will be a lifesaver for your brain, and you will eventually train your mind to find the positives in situations naturally. YAY for automatic positivity!
