Unbelievably, shockingly, astoundingly… that’s a wrap on the first week of Aimee+Shawn! If you listened during the past week, we want to thank you so much for taking an early chance on us! Hopefully you like what you heard – and if you do, tell a friend!
So much went on during our first week. On Monday, it was a nerve-fest. New station. New (terrible) 725 phone number to remember (not for long, we are getting a new 702 soon!). New tech issues. We have to remember our names. You know, the usual. Well, right out the gate things got interesting with the show. One of the other radio shows in town decided to go through our (relatively modest) Instagram followers and follow every single one of them. Weird. So, we started the week with a radio war! By the end of the show, many in the building were in the studio with us celebrating a successful launch, we decided to block that show from our Instagram, and we went on with our week!
From there, you learned about us while we learned about each other! Like the fact that Aimee’s scale thinks she’s a totally different (and heavier) person, or that Shawn’s dad somehow ordered something from Amazon over the phone.
We both had hot teachers. we both hate putting away our clean laundry (and instead opt to leave them in piles throughout the house), and it turns out Aimee legitimately thinks her son should replace his own phone after she tossed him in the pool while he had the phone in his pocket. Petty, and we are here for it.
