Every time I get on the phone with customer service or anyone that needs me to deep dive into the letters I am giving them over the phone I stress out. I get so stressed out and overthink the words that I am supposed to use.
I had to call an airline and one of the letters in the confirmation email was a ‘B’ I froze and went straight to the “B, as is Balls” PLURAL! WHY?
There is no rhyme or reason why that’s where I went but the representative and I started laughing so hard. Ended up talking to her for a while about just life. Sure, it got a good laugh and started a cute conversation but it was still a little embarrassing.
After the awkward conversation with Cheryl the representative who lives in Buffalo NY and has 2 boys and 3 granddaughters… I looked up the military phonetic alphabet and while there are some good ones on there, I like mine just a little bit more.
The military phonetic alphabet was originated in 1956 by the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) The Phonetic Alphabet has enabled forces from many countries to communicate in a way that is understood by all. Though I still don’t understand it!
You choose whos is better, mine or NATO’s
