Christmas shopping is stressful at times. I have to say I actually enjoy the shopping part and I also love wrapping the gifts with a glass of wine and a Christmas movie, but what stresses me out is the dang stockings.
I don’t want to just fill them with candy, I also don’t want to buy things just to buy things to stuff in there. For a while bathroom I would do, like, personal hygiene products, but who wants to open deodorant and a toothbrush on Christmas morning?
This year I was pleasantly surprised with the Target dollar section. They had so many great things as gifts and stocking stuffers. They had crafts, candy, books, and cute kitchen items. I dove right in. I also saved so much money I got all three kids stockings filled in that one section of Target… and you know I saved money because I only had to go 10 feet into the store and not walk all of the way back to find things to buy that I truly just don’t need because that’s what Target does to you it has a way of making you believe you need things you don’t. But I still love it. My beautiful Tarjay!
Fun fact:
Pronouncing Target as though it were a French boutique is older than you think. “Tarjay” was a thing all the way back in the 1960s.
Douglas Dayton, who inherited the Dayton business along with his brothers, recalled that people were making that joke from the time the first Minneapolis location opened in 1962.
Don’t let stockings or any Christmas shopping stress you out. It’s all about the memories so swing by the dollar section and knock your stocking shopping out quickly!
