Samuel L. Jackson has starred in almost 150 movies in his career thus far. That leaves quite a hard choice when it comes to what his best works are. Luckily for us, he shared what his top five movies that he's starred in are on last night's (June 9) episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Jackson was on set for his AppleTV+ limited series, The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey (based on the Walter Mosley novel) which he also executive produced. The Late Show host asked Samuel L. if he's watched any of his own movies, to which he replied, "Uh, yeah?"

Colbert made a point that some actors cannot stand to watch their own movies, like Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp. "They watch their movies," Samuel L. said. "It's a 'watch-me' business! That's why we're here. I got into this because I love acting, but when I was doing theater, I always wanted to watch the plays I was in with me in them and I couldn't. So with the opportunity to make stuff and then watch it, yes! I watch it."

Colbert then asked him to rank his top five Samuel L. Jackson movies, which are all from the late '90s: 1996's The Long Kiss Goodnight and A Time To Kill, 1997's Jackie Brown, 1998's The Red Violin, and 1997's ONE EIGHT SEVEN.

He also ranked his top five movies of all time: 2011's The Raid: Redemption, 1972's The Godfather, 1992's Hard Boiled, 1997's Hoodlum and 2013's The Berlin File.
