The 28-year-old singer's Instagram post showed a side profile revealing the new tattoo under stubble, making it even harder to see what the words say.
Fans on Twitter speculated what the words could say, that it’s either in Latin or the phrase “Do More.”
One person wrote, “streets saying that zayn's new tattoo is ‘Da mamma.'"
Zayn and his partner Gigi Hadid got matching tattoos of their daughter Khai's name in Arabic back in February.
Zayn has yet to reveal what exactly the new tattoo says.
