BMW TESTING OUT SUBSCRIPTION HEATED SEATS IN SOME COUNTRIES
You used to be able to buy things. Now everything is a subscription. BMW is looking to get into the action with certain features being put behind subscriptions, but this one takes the cake. The Verge is reporting in several countries (not here, yet), you can pay BMW $18 a month for… wait for it… heated seats. There are also options to subscribe for a year, three years or pay $415 for “unlimited access” to the feature.
This isn’t making our butt any warmer, but our blood is certainly boiling.
TWITTER TO ELON MUSK: YOU CAN’T PULL OUT
Twitter is suing Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk for attempting to back out of his agreed upon deal to buy the social media giant for $44,000,000,000. This is expected to be a long, drawn out lawsuit that could potentially force Musk to go through with the purchase, or at least pay a really hefty breakup fee.
Elon responded to the lawsuit with a meme, because of course he did.
FORMER DOORDASH DRIVER SIGNED TO NBA ROSTER
The NBA Summer League is underway at Thomas & Mack, and there’s one guy who is beyond excited to be there. His name is Matt Ryan.
A year ago, Matt was delivering DoorDash. The former college basketball player had a bit of a mixed bag coming up, going undrafted and getting picked up for a split second by the Denver Nuggets, but they almost immediately gave up on him. Well in the NBA’s G-League, essentially their minor league he’s been turning heads, and the Boston Celtics signed him to a contract back in February.
In just a couple games, he is leading the Celtics summer league team in scoring. The moral of the story, don’t give up on yourself and others won’t give up on you.
