Three Years Of Construction At I-15/Tropicana Start This Week

Well, get ready. The I-15/Tropicana Ave interchange project, set to last a whopping three years, gets underway on Thursday. It’ll start with the carpool lanes being shut down between Trop and Warm Springs for a month, and random lane closures overnight to put in new signs. There are a bunch of other closures that’ll affect a bit of the area, most of which at night, and you can get a look at all the closures at i15trop.com.

Red Rock Resort and Casino opened in Summerlin back in 2006… and Station Casinos just announced they are getting ready for a facelift. They are pulling out all the stops including an adults only pool, casino bar, a second Starbucks location, and several new restaurants including a third location for the much raved about Lotus of Siam. Upgrades are expected through 2023… 

The NBA G-League is like the minor leagues of the NBA, and Henderson is getting their own team next season. Joining that team? Shaquille O’Neal’s son Shareef O’Neal. The 22-year-old takes after his dad with a 6-foot 10-inch frame, He’s had some health issues in the past, with an open heart surgery in 2018, and some foot issues the last couple years, but he has serious potential, especially after his NBA Summer League performance with the Lakers.
