You don't have to tell Las Vegas locals... we know our city is a happening spot. Traffic is always bonkers. The Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Fremont are always packed. It's a madhouse at times.

Perhaps the brunt of embracing the chaos as a local occurs when there's a need to get within a mile of Harry Reid International Airport. It never fails. Every time I'm picking up a friend or family member and I approach our Las Vegas airport, I want to pull my hair out. If you can't tell, I may or may not struggle a tiny bit with road age.

Nonetheless, June was certainly one of the most frustrating months driving within sight's view of the airport. I had a few friends fly in and visit throughout the course of the month. I recall pulling up to the utter chaos of the dreaded passenger pickup line and noticing how many people were standing at the familiar numbered poles. "Good grief... Why are there so many more people than usual?"

It turns out my observation was accurate. Fox 5 reports "According to the airport, a whopping 4,683,156 people traveled through the airport last month. This amount surpasses the previous high, which was set in Oct. 2019 with 4,609,318 passengers."

That figure divided out over the course of June means that an average of approximately 156,105 travelers stepped foot in Harry Reid International Airport each day last month. Some of these individuals might have been catching a connecting flight. I'm sure the vast majority had touched down to explore the wonders of our fabulous city. I just can't wrap my head around a number that large. But I know that tourism keeps our lights on in Las Vegas, and tourism means lots and lots of tourists. Congrats, Harry Reid!

Living Single In Las Vegas Might Not Be For You

If you’re single and living in Las Vegas, it might not be the best city to live in…especially if you’re looking to hook-up with other singles! You would think with the night life, pool parties during the summer and all that there is to do on a weekend, Las Vegas would be a great place to live if you were single!

You also might want to consider if you’re on a budget, there are things to do for everyone depending on your current financial situation. From dining out, concerts, shows up and down the strip to taking in the great outdoors...hiking, spending the day on the lake and so much more!

Not to mention, Las Vegas now has major league sports in the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL and the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL. Talks of a Major League Baseball team are in the works and that’s only a matter of time.

Well, if you did research and considered all those elements, you would think Las Vegas would come in at least in the Top 5! Nope!

Actually, Zillow recently did some research on 100 of the biggest cities in America to find which ones were the best to live in if you were single.

It was based on three simple factors: How many other single people there are, how expensive the rent is and how many apartments are available for single people.
Considering just those three factors, it’s no wonder Las Vegas didn’t make the Top 10! If you look at just the Top 5, I guess they have their own “single” appeal, however, given the choice, I’ll take Las Vegas over any of these cities.

Scroll down below to see what cities made the Top 5 on this list and if you have any doubt about our great city of Las Vegas…you might want to start packing the bags!

This City In Nevada Ranked Number Two In The Country For Pool Lovers

Nevada is known for being a dry desert with hot weather despite living south or far west of the state. Living in Vegas we know far too well that owning a swimming pool or having access to a swimming pool is a must.

With temperatures reaching as high as 117 and averaging at around 95 degrees, cooling off has become part of our DNA. Swimming pools are not only convenient for hot temperatures but they allow people to spend time with their loved ones.

If there is any state that knows how to throw a pool party, it's Vegas hands-down.

Our friends at StorageCafe.com, researched the country's 100 biggest cities to find Americans who have a strong love for pools. The data analyzed crossed many factors including:

StorageCafe.com reports that the U.S. has "about 10.4 million residential pools" and "almost 310k public ones." The pool industry is growing as pools have become less of a luxury and more of a convivence. Pools are found to be more common in cities with warmer weather where they can be used partially through out the year or year round.

Out of the country's top 100 biggest cities, who has the highest access to public pools in the country? Any guesses? Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio! The city where you will not be attending many pool parties is Detroit. The Michigan city takes the crown for the least pool-friendly city in America. Renters, this is a cool fact to know when looking for an apartment. The cost of rent for apartments, over the 100 cities researched, with or without pools is virtually the same.

You can find out more on StorageCafe.com's findings here! Below are the TOP 10 U.S. cities for pool aficionados:

Best Spots For All-You-Can-Eat Korean Barbecue In Las Vegas

If you haven't had Korean barbecue, we're here to change your life.

What exactly is Korean barbecue you may ask? Let us tell you.

It's decadent, filling and packed with delicious side dishes called banchan.

Korean barbecue is essentially a collective experience, according to SeriousEats.com. It requires teamwork among the table, and the portions are usually large.

The main event of this feast is, of course, the meat. Many Korean barbecue eateries have menus with different cuts of beef, pork, chicken and grilled vegetables. You can choose from brisket, marinated pork belly, ribeye and so much more!

The server will usually take your order, flick on your tabletop grill and come back pushing a cart of your selected meat. Depending on the restaurant you eat it (and your skill level of cooking), you will be doing the majority of the cooking! But if you're a newbie to the world of Kbbq then have no fear. The servers and workers at Korean barbecue establishments are always happy to help and to teach.

As the meat caramelizes, chars and cooks on the grill, you can use lettuce wraps and rice to eat along the meat. And you simply can't forget the dipping sauces that include sesame seed oil seasoned with salt and pepper, spicy soybean paste and other savory, umami-like sauces.

The side dishes, called banchan, are the perfect accompaniment to the hearty meat. Kimchi, pickled cucumbers, marinated soybeans, spinach salad, eggplants are just a few out of the many side dishes that are included in the meal. These side dishes vary depending on which restaurant you choose. However, banchan should always be served with a warm bowl of rice.

In Las Vegas, there are no shortages of great Korean barbecue spots you can eat at. And another great highlight of the Kbbq scene in Vegas, many places are "all you can eat!"

All-you-can-eat Korean barbecue places usually have a set price per person. This price allows you to order anything on the menu. However, there are usually time limits at these places and a fee if you leave a good amount of leftovers -- so don't over order!
