Goodbye Spirit Airlines...

Spirit Airlines is my go-to choice for my air travels. I don't make this choice based on their generous leg room or in-flight freebies (total sarcasm). I ultimately fly with Spirit because of their low-cost fares.

Their rates are pretty much always incredible, with a cross-country, round-trip flight rarely costing over $100 for me. You just pack a backpack filled with your essentials, shove it under the seat, and say it's your personal item. If you don't purchase bags, the overall cost is unbelievably low. Their fares make long distance travel affordable for someone who is ballin' on a budget. And let me tell you. Your girl is big time ballin'.

Hello JetBlue!

According to CNBC, "JetBlue Airways has reached a $3.8 billion deal to buy Spirit Airlines in a takeover that would create the country’s fifth-largest airline." Frontier was also in the running to purchase Spirit Airlines, but that merger deal fell through. Oh, the fares that would've come out of a merger with Frontier. Can you imagine? I bet it would've been bargain city. But alas, this is not the reality we face.

It will be interesting to see the adjustments made to fares and overall flight experience as JetBlue and Spirit begin to merge. According to a JetBlue press release, there will be many positives to the merge. These include "bringing together the best of both airlines’ cultures and values to create job growth and career opportunities" and "expanding the reach of JetBlue’s sustainability leadership."

I'm all for providing career opportunities and saving our planet. But the greatest fear seems to be that the merger will cause fares to skyrocket. The Spirit/JetBlue merger could very likely eliminate one of the key low-cost competitors (Spirit) for Frontier. This would be tragic for those of us that depend on inexpensive fares to see our friends and family.

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen: See Inside Jonas Brothers’ Family Restaurant

The Jonas Brothers are setting roots in Las Vegas and we couldn't be more thrilled. Saturday, June 4, marked the GRAND opening of Nellie's Southern Kitchen inside MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

Nellie's Southern Kitchen is a family restaurant created by the Jonas family in honor of Kevin Jonas Sr.'s beloved grandmother Nellie. The restaurant will "celebrate the comfort food, hospitality and Southern charm of the family’s 1760s roots in North Carolina" says MGM Grand in their press release. Nellie passed away in 2011, but her memory and recipes will live on for generations to come. The restaurant is located in The District of the MGM Grand which can be found across from the Blizz Frozen Yogurt. The 11,000 square foot restaurant will be a place for families to enjoy live entertainment, great memories and rich in flavor dishes. Kevin Jonas II said, “Our dad’s passion for family, food and music shines through at Nellie’s. It’s a beautiful tribute to our great-grandmother’s legacy, and we know Las Vegas will love it as much as we do.” This is the second location of Nellie's Southern Kitchen with the first location residing in Belmont, North Carolina.

It wouldn't be true Vegas fashion without a red carpet and step and repeat to welcome the southern restaurant to sin city. All three of the Jonas Brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick attended the red carpet followed by their parents, Denise Jonas and Kevin Jonas Sr. and their younger brother Franklin JonasDanielle Jonas, Kevin Jonas' wife, their two kids walked the red carpet.

The restaurant's menu will feature some of Nellie's classic plates including chicken and waffles, biscuits, chicken and gravy, southern meatloaf, and many more items specifically for the Las Vegas location. Their bar will also feature a wide variety of cocktails to plate with your meal. Nellie's Southern Kitchen hosted a Jonas Brother's Trivia Night the night before on Friday, June 3, where lucky fans had the opportunity to win Jonas Brothers' merch based on their knowledge of the brothers. June 10 is the next scheduled trivia night which is currently booked but they are taking walk ups on discretion.

The restaurant's is open Tuesday through Sunday. You can learn more about Nellie's Southern Kitchen HERE.

The Jonas Brothers are currently playing at the DOLBY LIVE inside Park MGM for their exclusive five day residency.

A Flying Car Has Been Approved For Take Off

Well folks... I think we've officially entered the future. There have been many incredible technological advances in the twenty-first century thus far. This one might just take the cake.

Several different companies have been trying to create a flying car for a good while. One of these companies is Samson Sky, and one of those aircraft/car combos is the Switchblade. The Switchblade is a project that has been in the making for 14 years. According to The Hill, The Switchblade "could be just weeks away from getting its wheels off the ground after a Federal Aviation Administration inspection on July 15 determined it’s safe to fly." The Samson Sky team wasted no time following their greenlight from the FAA. The Switchblade was out on the runway starting high-speed taxi tests the very next day.

From the sound of it, we could all be living our Back to the Future fantasy not to far down the road. Which would be EPIC. People have already started lining up for Switchblades, with 1,670 individuals making their no-cost reservation. However, those that make a reservation will have to make a $2,000 deposit within 45 days of the first public flight. So if you're one of those 1,670, get ready to cough it up.

I can't imagine these things being affordable anytime in the near future. I also have so many unanswered questions. Are more airports going to have to be built once aircraft automobiles hit the market? How do you ensure one of these? I'm sure I'll get my answers in due time, because I think the Switchblade, as well as the many other flying cars in the works, are here to stay. Hello future!

Best Spots For All-You-Can-Eat Korean Barbecue In Las Vegas

If you haven't had Korean barbecue, we're here to change your life.

What exactly is Korean barbecue you may ask? Let us tell you.

It's decadent, filling and packed with delicious side dishes called banchan.

Korean barbecue is essentially a collective experience, according to SeriousEats.com. It requires teamwork among the table, and the portions are usually large.

The main event of this feast is, of course, the meat. Many Korean barbecue eateries have menus with different cuts of beef, pork, chicken and grilled vegetables. You can choose from brisket, marinated pork belly, ribeye and so much more!

The server will usually take your order, flick on your tabletop grill and come back pushing a cart of your selected meat. Depending on the restaurant you eat it (and your skill level of cooking), you will be doing the majority of the cooking! But if you're a newbie to the world of Kbbq then have no fear. The servers and workers at Korean barbecue establishments are always happy to help and to teach.

As the meat caramelizes, chars and cooks on the grill, you can use lettuce wraps and rice to eat along the meat. And you simply can't forget the dipping sauces that include sesame seed oil seasoned with salt and pepper, spicy soybean paste and other savory, umami-like sauces.

The side dishes, called banchan, are the perfect accompaniment to the hearty meat. Kimchi, pickled cucumbers, marinated soybeans, spinach salad, eggplants are just a few out of the many side dishes that are included in the meal. These side dishes vary depending on which restaurant you choose. However, banchan should always be served with a warm bowl of rice.

In Las Vegas, there are no shortages of great Korean barbecue spots you can eat at. And another great highlight of the Kbbq scene in Vegas, many places are "all you can eat!"

All-you-can-eat Korean barbecue places usually have a set price per person. This price allows you to order anything on the menu. However, there are usually time limits at these places and a fee if you leave a good amount of leftovers -- so don't over order!

Here are some of the best places in Las Vegas for Korean barbecue! Check out the list below.
