Fake Engagement Rings A New Trend?
FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT
The New York Post is reporting on a new trend that has hit the world of engagements: fake rings. It used to be that guys would try to get away with a cubic zirconia ring and hope their mate wouldn’t notice, but in these “trying times”, it’s being pushed as a smart initial investment. The idea is to pop the question with the faux rock, and if they say yes, THEN going to the jeweler to get a proper ring, fitted perfectly, exactly the way they want, making sure the jewelry is done right the first time and saving money. Nothing worse than designing the perfect ring for $5000 and going back fiance-less trying to pawn it for $500, so, it’s not the worst idea.
A PAC-MAN MOVIE IS IN THE WORKS
They made “Super Mario” into a movie. They made “Sonic The Hedgehog” into a movie (that wasn’t half bad). What’s next? Pac-Man. The yellow dot eating semi-circle has been green-lit for a new, live action film. No word as to who will be playing Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. Whoever the writer and director of this movie is, if they take this character and turn it into a decent movie, should get every Oscar imaginable.
FINED FOR RESCUING A DOG?
List this under a “ruff deal”. A woman in Florida saw a dog in the middle of the road during 4th Of July and decided to get out and see what the deal was. There were no tags, nothing. So, she took the dog home for the night to get him off the streets, particularly with all the fireworks going off. But she couldn’t keep the dog. She contacted her local animal control, but they wouldn’t take the dog because she got him from the county next door. She reached out to that county and couldn’t get a word back. So, left with little options, she dropped the dog off at her county’s animal control. She was hit with a $500 fine for “providing false information” to animal control. She has a hearing set for next month.
