A Clark County grand jury indicted NFL players Alvin Kamara and Chris Lammons for an alleged assault that took place outside of a Las Vegas nightclub.

It’s unfortunately a story that resembles many others in Las Vegas; It’s a story that shows the erroneous, alleged actions of professional athletes during a night out. The alleged incident happened during the NFL Pro Bowl in 2022 on Feb. 5, 2022 with Lammons, Kamara and two other men being accused of beating the victim right outside of Drai’s Nightclub, according to CBS News.

KLAS-TV reports that the four men indicted are Kamara, Lammons, Christopher Young and Percy Harris. They are indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit battery and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.

ESPN‘s report states that the victim, Darnell Greene Jr., filed a civil lawsuit against Kamara. The lawsuit says that Kamara, Lammons and two other men allegedly beat Greene and stomped on him on Feb. 5.

KLAS-TV reports that the assault started when Greene was waiting for an elevator outside of Drai’s Nightclub alongside the named suspects. When the elevator doors opened, Kamara put his hand on the victim’s chest, which prompted the victim to push Kamara’s hand away. This is when the melee unfolded with Kamara then shoving Greene, and Lammons proceeding to push him, which knocked the victim against a wall.

According to CBS, Lammons allegedly struck Greene in the head, neck or upper chest. Once Greene fell backwards, Kamara “allegedly ‘charged Darnell Greene in order to strike and/or punch’ him,” CBS News states.

The alleged incident continued with Kamara, Lammons and the other men beating and stomping on Greene while he was unconscious on the floor, according to ESPN.

Greene’s lawsuit, which was filed in Louisiana, asks for $10 million in damages, according to KLAS-TV.

The lawsuit also states that Kamara chased Greene down a hallway before knocking him to the ground.

This indictment means that this case, which is criminal, will move to the district court. The court date that was set by the judge is for March 2.
