Megan Fox is sharing another traumatic experience following the release of her poetry book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. The 37-year-old actress revealed to WWD Wednesday (November 29) that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with her and fiancé Machine Gun Kelly's baby. As the Jennifer's Body alum recently shared, her experience was "much harder" than she anticipated, as it came years after she suffered another pregnancy loss.

She told the publication, "I've really analyzed, ‘Why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?'" Fox revealed that when she was younger, she had an ectopic pregnancy. Per the Mayo Clinic, an ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus. An ectopic pregnancy can't proceed normally because the fertilized egg can't survive, and the growing tissue may cause life-threatening bleeding if left untreated. In her interview, Fox further said, "I've had other things that I'm not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar."

Referring to her rocker fiancé, she clarified, "I've been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with." Adding about her miscarriage with MGK's baby, Megan said the "love element" made it really tragic for her, leaving her with "a lot of grief and a lot of suffering." Channeling that into her writing, the "Emo Girl" rocker also wrote about it in his albums. Fox felt comfortable enough to share her traumatic experience with the public because it has been addressed "in one way through him, so I have a space to express as well."

Fox shared sons Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

Pretty Boy Are Poisonous is available now. Fox showcases her "wicked humor throughout a heartbreaking and dark collection of poetry," the site reads. Over the course of more than seventy poems, Fox chronicles all the ways in which "we fit ourselves into the shape of the ones we love, even if it means losing ourselves in the process."
