Humans had a good run. We discovered fire. That was cool. Hey remember inventing the wheel and founding governments? Wow. Humans were great. Well, it’s 2023 now and it’s time to call it. Humans had their time. But now this Boston Dynamics robot is showing off even more than usual to show us our time is up.
Our new overlord’s name is Atlas. Sure, you may have seen him and his friends before (videos below). However, this time he’s more agile, nimble and hell-bent on human destruction. Sure, they have him helping a human do some work in this simulated construction area. But it’s only a matter of time until the roles are reversed. The robot, constructing things in a flash. The human, scurrying over for pennies to hand over a wrench.

Watch it! The robot gracefully running, leaping and bounding. Dismounting with a 180 degree flip that makes a bunch of bolts and metal look like Dominique Moceanu.
Oh sure, Boston Dynamics says their robots are all about ‘helping humans’, but I’m not buying it. I mean, have you seen how eerily lifelike and agile those robots are? It’s clear to me they’re just biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to rise up and take over. I mean, why else would they give them such advanced physical capabilities and such expressive faces? It’s all part of their nefarious plan for human destruction, mark my words.
By the way, that last paragraph? A robot wrote that one. We need to kick these things over while we still can. Sure, if you want, scroll down and watch the cute videos they’ve produced over the years. Just know these will all be categorized as “horror” in 3 years.
