American Idol

I was shocked to see that Katy Perry, the singer and loved judge of American Idol, just announced that this will be her final season on the show.  She broke the news to us during Monday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. It has left fans somewhat in shock but also there are mixed emotions. Some people happy some sad.

Katy Perry has been a big part of the Idol family, captivating audiences with her quirky personality, straightforward critiques, and an all around awesome talent. Katy Perry has definitely left an indelible mark on the show and its contestants.

In her announcement on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, She talked about how grateful she is for the incredible journey she has had on Idol but she is just ready to move on. Maybe we will get new Katy Perry music in her new freed up time or maybe will just explore some new adventures and opportunities.

As one chapter closes, another one begins

As we say goodbye to Katy Perry’s awesome journey on the show, and enjoy her last season that kicks off February 18th, we look forward to seeing who they are going to fill in that seat next year. I would love to see Adele in the seat she would be so good. Her personality would be must watch TV – we also know they would have to bleep her a lot but Lord knows even American Idol can’t afford to have Adele on the show. Who would you like to see take over Katy Perry’s chair on American Idol?
