Valentine's Day Steak Dinner

Valentine’s Day – a day filled with flowers, chocolates, romantic dinners… crowded restaurants, and packed card isles. Maybe you like to celebrate on the exact day of love but there are some reasons to stay in this year and watch some Netflix and go to dinner later in the week. Let’s talk about why choosing a cozy night at home on Valentine’s Day could actually give you a more enjoyable and cost-effective celebration another night.

Let’s talk about avoiding the big crowds. One of the most significant positives of celebrating another day is staying away from busy theaters, restaurants, and other popular Valentine’s spots. Let’s face it, if you don’t have a reservation already, you probably aren’t getting one. Getting a good spot at the theater will be hard unless you get there super early. If you stay in you can have a relaxed night with pizza, popcorn and Netflix.

You can make anything or anywhere romantic if you really want to

If you are at home it’s so much more cozy. If you ask me, being comfortable is my favorite and I’m never more comfortable than I am when I’m wearing sweatpants, a sweatshirt with a freshly washed face, and a glass of wine. Staying in allows you to focus on each other without distractions… unless you have kids they can be a little distracting but in a good way. Light some candles and get cozy and enjoy your company even if it is just your dog.

Valentine’s Day can be expensive in all the ways. From overpriced prix fixe menus to higher priced flowers and chocolates, the cost of going out on February 14th can really add up. By changing the Valentine’s DATE you can avoid the inflated prices and enjoy a more chill night.

Netflix wants to help you enjoy your night IN with 4 fun new releases just released today. Check them out below.

Happy Valentine’s Day whenever or wherever you celebrate <3

  • 1. Players

This is a romcom that I am super excited about. I love the cast, staring Gina Rodriguez and Tom Ellis it looks cute and I can’t wait to see if the “friends” end up falling in love. My money is on YES!

  • 2. The Heartbreak Agency

This is exactly what it sounds like. A woman opens an agency to help people get over heartbreak and one of her clients falls in love with her. This will be a good one.

  • 3. Love Is Blind season 6

This has quickly become one of my favorite reality shows I look forward to every season. They have just a couple of weeks to fall in love through a wall they can not see the other person until one of them proposes. It’s a tricky little game but I root for every couple every time with a side of drama. Easy binge watch for sure.

  • 4. A Soweto Love Story

This is a South African romcom about a mother wanting so bad for her three boys to find love so much so she promises the first one to get married get her house. Why do I feel like this is something I would do.
