CCSD Changes Free Meal Distribution Times
One of the secondary effects of the coronavirus situation is that due to workers being laid off from their jobs, people are struggling to eat.
The Clark County School district has been trying to help students who are out of school by offering free breakfast and lunch weekdays.
The time has been changed to 9 am-12 noon. The distribution sites are mostly at Las Vegas area high schools and are set up outside in the school’s main parking lot.
Previously, a student had to be present to receive the free meals. Now, a parent can pick up the meals with no student present, however, parents are asked to have their child’s student ID with them or be able to provide the student’s name, student id number, school, and grade.
Meal distribution locations include the following high schools…Cheyenne, Canyon Springs, Clark, Del Sol, Chaparral, Cimarron, Eldorado, Green Valley, Las Vegas High, Mojave, Shadow Ridge, Sierra Vista, Silverado, Spring Valley, Valley High, and A-Tech. There are some middle school locations as well and a complete list of all the sites is at ccsd.nutrislice.com.
