Move Aside, Chicken: Popeyes Will Now Have Fish Sandwiches

In 2019, Popeyes Chicken started the very entertaining "chicken wars" with their chicken sandwich. Then they couldn't hang and sold out of them. Later, they came back stronger than ever.
Now they are moving on to fish.
According to CNN, their fish sandwich will be made very similar to the chicken, with the brioche bun and pickles. It will also be made with a flaky flounder. The fish version will be sold for $4.49, while the chicken is $3.99
Popeyes is also offering "sandwich insurance." For an additional 15 cents, customers can buy the fish sandwich, and if they don't like they can swap it out for the chicken sandwich.
The fish sandwich will be available at restaurants nationwide beginning today (February 11).
