Star Report

Anna Faris attends the Premiere of Lionsgate and Pantelion Film's "Overboard" After Party at Regency Village Theatre on April 30, 2018 in Westwood, California. Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt attend the world premiere of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures "Avengers: Endgame" at the Los Angeles Convention Center on April 22, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

Anna Faris has nothing bad to say about her ex-husband Chris Pratt and his marriage to Katherine Schwarzenegger. They got married a year after Farris and Pratt divorced. The Mom star was married to the Guardians of the Galaxy actor from 2009 to 2018, with the pair announcing they had split in a joint statement released in August 2017. The two share son Jack, 10.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” the couple said in a statement. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Faris, 45, has been candid about her relationship breakdown in the past, saying she felt her “hand was forced” in going through with the divorce. Additionally, the comedic actress suggested that she went through with the marriage because “everyone [was] expecting it,” adding that she “ignored” the warning signs ahead of their wedding.

In a new interview with People, she said that she is “getting closer” to Pratt, 43, and is “happy” with the way things have turned out. “We’re all getting much closer, and I so appreciate that,” Faris said. “They’re very protective of me, and I want to be very protective of them. I so appreciate their support.”

She added, “It feels just much easier now that time has passed. It feels really good to not live with that internal churning of unpleasantness.” Now that they are on good terms, Faris foresees spending holidays together as an extended family. However, she does not see this upcoming Thanksgiving to be on the table, as “we just have family obligations that take us elsewhere.”

Faris called Schwarzenegger “awesome” and that “She’s just on top of it. I love how she is with Jack.” Faris previously revealed that Jack was born prematurely and weighed just three pounds and 12 ounces at birth and spent his first month in the NICU. According to the publication, he was born with severe brain bleeding.

Her divorce from Pratt was finalized in 2018, and Pratt married Schwarzenegger the following year. Faris first met Pratt while playing a couple in the comedy film Take Me Home Tonight (2011). She is now married to cinematographer Michael Barratt, 52, whom she met while working on the 2018 film Overboard.
