The Cost Of Weddings In 2023; Start Saving

Marrying someone in 2023 is a commitment unlike any other. You are vowing to your partner that you will be there for them in the best of times and worst of times.

The pandemic really influenced how many of us view human interaction. The past two years have been hard for everyone so if you found someone that tickles your fancy, congratulations.

Planning a wedding takes time as some couples plan months to even years ahead of time. This time preps for availability of venues, ordering flower arrangements, ordering outfits and the whole nine yards.

We know weddings can cost a fortune so the most important part is saving money.

According to Zola.com, they surveyed 4,000 people to discover what individuals are willing to pay for their weddings in 2023. The results aren’t as shocking as some might think.

Wedding budgets have not risen from last year and couples are willing to spend more money to get married. Photographers came up as the most important money spender when it comes to getting married. Zola.com says, the average wedding in 2023 will cost anywhere from $20,000 to $40,000. This price range is an estimation for guest attendance as 31% said 100 to 150 guests and 23% said 150 to 200 guests.

We have all heard of the old tradition where the bride’s parents are to pay for the wedding but in this new decade that isn’t the case. The survey found that 71% of couples getting married are pitching in to create their grand occasion. As couples are willing to spend money they are also “budget friendly” in creating registries to help with cost of the wedding, honeymoon and/or for home buying. Only 13% of couples from this survey saved up between $50,000 to $100,000 for their festive occasion.

Vegas' Little White Wedding Chapel Sold, Celebrity Weddings Continue

You’ve heard about it. You’ve driven past it. You might have even gotten married in it!

The Little White Wedding Chapel located on Las Vegas Boulavard in downtown Las Vegas has been the choice location for thousands upon thousands of marriages for numerous decades. However, big changes are sure to come to the notable Vegas staple, as the chapel has been sold by the current owner, Charolette Richards, after more than 60 years at the venue.

Fox 5 reports that the new owner of the Little White Wedding Chapel is Vegas Weddings, and fortunately, “it will honor all current weddings reservations and retain its employees, staff and officiants.” With more than 100 weddings a day filling the venue’s schedule, it’s no wonder they are keeping the venue and it’s current flow as is.

At least no one is losing a job except for Richards, who has more than deserved her retirement. Her time and legacy with the wedding chapel is not completely finished though, as she will remain an “honorary minister” with the venue and continue to work when her retirement schedule allows. Fox 5 also reports that the new owners have shared that they will even continue to honor Richards by introducing “Charolette’s Way,” which will be the street name for the famous “Tunnel of Love.”

In the midst of the hundreds of weddings performed there daily, the Little White Wedding Chapel has seen some of the most notable celebrities of all time say their “I Do’s.” Spanning across numerous decades, several A-list celebrities have flocked to the downtown Las Vegas venue with their lovers to tie the knot.

Some of the marriages themselves might not have lasted, but the memories of those glorious ceremonies live on in photographs that line the walls of the nostalgic reception room inside of the chapel.

    Celebrities That Get Married For Reality TV

    Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev recently got married in Paris. The two posted pictures of themselves in front of the Eiffel Tower. Their wedding and wedding planning will be on a new E! Network show called “Nikki Bella Says I Do”.

    I wish people would stop getting show deals for their weddings. When will they realize the odds of it lasting are slim?  Some do work but some don’t.

    Celebrities take one of two approaches when it comes to their weddings. They either keep every aspect of their wedding under wraps and pay to keep the paparazzi away or they make a big deal with a network to get a nice paycheck (whilst putting their marriage on the line.)

    Look at Kim Kardashian for instance, she got married twice for TV and neither of them worked out. Nick Lachy is batting .500. He married Jessica Simpson for television they didn’t last long but he is in fact still married to Vanessa Lachy who he also married on television. Khloe Kardashian is coming in at 0%. She married Lamar Odom. The same thing goes for Kendra Wilkinson. She married Hank Baskett and gave it a good go but they didn’t last either.

    Some do last though. Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza got married on TV and they are still going strong with three children. LaLa and Carmelo Anthony are still married despite separating in 2018 for a minute. Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich from the reality show Survivor got married for TV and are still together today and even competed in the Amazing Race together.

    Britney Spears ‘Cried Happy Tears’ At Her ‘Fairytale’ Wedding

    Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s wedding turned out to be the “fairytale” they envisioned, despite Britney’s ex-husband Jason Alexander crashing the wedding. A source told PEOPLE that the bride was overjoyed to finally say “I do,” adding that she walked herself down the aisle, as she didn’t invite any family members .

    “It ended up being the happiest night for Britney,” the source told the publication. “She wanted a fairytale wedding and she got it. Britney looked stunning. She is very excited to be married. She looks forward to a future with Sam.”

    “As soon as she walked down the aisle and saw Sam, she had the biggest smile. She cried several times during the ceremony, but it was all happy tears,” they said, adding, “Britney danced for hours at the reception. You could tell that she had the best time.”

    Multiple sources confirmed that the couple tied the knot Thursday night before an intimate star-studded guest list of about 60 people, including Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and Madonna (who shared a smooch with the bride).

    According to sources, Spears wore a gown by Versace, with Donatella Versace at the ceremony, and walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

    Asghari’s manager, Brandon Cohen, told PEOPLE after the ceremony, “I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married. I know he wanted this for so long. He is so caring and supportive every step of the way.”

    Spears, 40, and the actor and fitness trainer, 28, were first romantically linked after they met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and the rest is history.

    However, what was meant to be a fairytale was disrupted by Britney’s ex, who she was married to for a very brief 55 hours back in 2004; he stormed into her wedding venue yesterday, while livestreaming on Instagram.

    “Hey Britney!” he can be heard shouting as he walks around the premises. “I’m here to crash the wedding because nobody is here except Sam. Where the f— is the family?”

    “So here’s the inside scoop guys of the bulls— wedding,” he said as he filmed. Viewers who were watching the livestream commented that they were “scared” for Britney’s safety as Jason made his way around her house and disturbingly told someone off camera, “Don’t f— with me bro, I’m done.”

    Jason was eventually arrested by police officers, People reports.

    Britney and Sam’s wedding still went ahead, though the couple and their guests were reportedly left “shocked” and “shaken up” by the incident.
