The TikTok Trend That Vegas Can’t Try
Growing up in New York I know a thing or two about eating snow. But I never thought to make it into ice cream. This is the new TikTok trend that Vegas can not participate in, unfortunately. The winter chill is coming in strong in most of the United States, and if there is anything to know about TikTokers they are resourceful. The new trend is taking social media by storm: snow ice cream! Americans across the country are using the polar vortex to their advantage.
The TikTok Craze…
People have been sharing videos of themselves making this delightful frozen treat from the pretty white stuff they scooped off their front lawn as well as some other ingredients. You add milk sugar and vanilla to the snow mix and bam you have snow ice cream. Want to make it your own? Add some toppings. From nuts and cherries to chocolate syrup and sprinkles, the possibilities are endless for your homemade dessert.
I for now am just living my ice cream craving through TikTok because unfortunately, while most of Americans are under snow, us here in Las Vegas and living in mostly 60-degree weather. We can head up to Mount Charleston to get some snow but unless you are going to bring the other ingredients up there with you the snow probably won’t last all the way to your kitchen.
There are plenty of other TikTok trends you can get behind but unfortunately, or depending on how you look at it fortunately for us there isn’t any snow to work with. In years past we had had a handful of snow to fall on us here in the desert but not enough to make dessert. But if you do make it up to Mount Charleston make sure to get a good video of your ice cream creations.
