The countdown is on for hosting Super Bowl LVIII, but will the projections for Las Vegas come to fruition?
David Becker via Getty ImagesMy husband and I love hosting parties and every time we host or attend a party this is the appetizer that I make. It's definitely the most requested thing I make that will fill everyone up and make everyone happy. Especially when we host parties after cleaning and getting the house and backyard ready, the last thing I have time for is elaborate time consuming appetizers. So thank goodness I came up with this years ago!
It's my famous Taco Dip. Now I know people can be picky so I don't do 7 layer dip anymore. I did it for years but sometimes people wouldn't like tomatoes or guacamole, or maybe they wouldn't like beans. It is just hard to please everyone with that dip so I went to the drawing board. What is something everyone loves? TACOS! My Taco Dip is hard to disappoint!
Ingredients:
- 1lb meat - I use ground turkey - but ground chicken or beef works as well
- 1 taco seasoning packet
- Salsa
- 8oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 head chopped up lettuce
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese
- Bag of Tostitos chips
NOTE: These measurements are loose. I don't measure anything anymore. I measure with my heart.
Recipe:
- Brown meat of choice. Season according to the directions on the back of the taco seasoning packet.
- Layer that on the bottom of the 9x13 baking pan
- Mix well the cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing and layer that on top of the meat
- Lawyer lettuce
- Lawyer cheese
- ENJOY with chips!
Once you make this you will see how easy and tasty it is. Try this for the Big Game, your next party, or just for a Saturday night movie night in.
