Labor Day weekend is almost here, and millions of Americans are already packing their bags and getting ready for their long-awaited vacation. If you are one of those adventure-seekers who want to make the most out of this weekend, you are not alone. According to the AAA, around 95 million people in the US will hit the road during the Labor Day weekend, with over 16 million heading out on RV vacations.

Travel Tips

  • Plan ahead: Make sure to book your accommodations and activities ahead of time. With so many other travelers competing for the same spots, you don't want to be left out.
  • Stay safe: Taking regular breaks during your long drive and wearing your seatbelt is a must. Avoid drinking and driving and always follow the speed limits.
  • Pack wisely: Remember to pack only the essentials because it's easier to unpack when you get home.
  • Have fun: The most important tip of all is to have fun! This weekend is all about relaxation, so enjoy every moment of it.

Hosting Tips

  • Different options: Make sure you have different options for your guests. Be mindful of different allergies and preferences. Have non-meat options for those who prefer vegan or vegetarian. Tink Whataburger, hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit, salads (pasta, potato & green), dips (salsas, taco dip, buffalo chicken dip), mac n cheese, veggie platter, cheese and crackers. Make all or some.
  • Things to do: If you don't have a pool then make sure there are games to play. Corn-hole, darts, drinking games. Make it as active as possible so people have things to do.
  • Music is key: Make sure you have different music for everyone's tastes. Make it upbeat for the BBQ. We have a list of the best BBQ songs below.

Whether you plan on traveling with or spending it at home with friends and family stay safe, have fun, and enjoy your extra day off. Happy Labor Day
