Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program: Here’s How To Apply
Inflation has hit all of us like a freight train, and if you’re like me, you’re heavily feeling the pressure and stress of how to make ends meet this holiday season.
Fortunately, the Salvation Army Southern Nevada’s Angel Tree Christmas Assistance program is now open for applications! If you have special little ones in your life this holiday season, this great program is designed to help those who need assistance getting toys for their child this holiday season.
Fox 5 Vegas reports, “The Salvation Army was able to provide Christmas presents to 3,500 children last year, according to the organization.” This program has a significant impact on Southern Nevada families during the holidays, and every child deserves to feel the magic of the holiday season.
In order to qualify, an adult must provide valid ID and proof of residency, and a parent/guardian must provide identification showing proof of dependent.
To apply, visit the Salvation Army Angel Tree website. If you have any additional questions, give them a call at 702-870-4430.
If you’re in Southern Nevada and need a little help to make Christmas special for your little ones, be sure to apply soon! The deadline for applications is November 15th, so be sure to fill out and submit your application as soon as possible.
Once a submitted application is approved, the applicant will receive a voucher via email that will include a scheduled pick-up time for gifts. Be sure to drive a vehicle to gift pick-up, as it is a drive-thru event with no walk-ups or bikes allowed.
Salvation Army is also accepting toy donations! If you are interested in donating toys for the upcoming holiday season, visit 2900 W Palomino Lane, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM – 4 PM.
